We are actively interviewing candidates who have interest in continuing to build our Total Joint Services.
NOSS is a multidisciplinary partnership of fifteen board certified physicians including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Physiatry and Chiropractic Medicine. We practice from five office locations in Connecticut including Southbury, Shelton, Torrington and Cheshire, with our main office located in Waterbury.
Based in our main office, the Total Joint Surgeon will play an active role in the ongoing development of the orthopedic service line at Waterbury Hospital.
A community teaching facility affiliated with both Yale and Quinnipiac Universities, Waterbury Hospital is a 300+ bed, Level II trauma center. Collaboratively, we have been developing total joint services with the hospital, which now includes a same day program, a hip fracture fast track protocol, as well as robust hospital to home programs supported through several clinical areas including Rehabilitation and VNA service lines
At Waterbury Hospital, orthopedics is supported through a dedicated OR team, and a department of seven orthopedic Physician Assistants who provide call coverage and first assist in the OR. Additionally, the hospital provides a dedicated surgical floor, with an orthopedic “wing” for post-operative recovery.
