SummaryEastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join its thriving family medicine residency program talented and compassionate faculty team sponsored by Manchester Memorial Hospital. As the only family medicine residency university-affiliated program east of the river, the program provides an outstanding community-focused clinical site for residents to train. The physician should possess a passion for teaching, a strong interest in developing curriculum, and is clinically successful in placing patient care at the forefront. In this role, you will daily precept residents/ medical students and on designated week days consult with patients. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during regular business work hours with shared rotation beeper call coverage only one week per month (obstetrics is optional). Academic appointments are available through the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine and the program is ACGME accredited. ECFMR is certified as a Level 3 NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) Patient-Centered Medical Home.
ECHN is health system comprised of more than 300 active medical staff members with two acute-care hospitals, a skilled/subacute facility, home care agency, a comprehensive cancer center and multiple outpatient services centers. It has a prominent family medicine residency program, the latest in robotic surgical systems including the new Mako robotic assisted knee/hip replacement system and the Xi daVinci robot along with highly regarded programs including the ECHN Center for Weight Loss and the Women’s Center for Wellness.
