Physician/Program Director/Family Medicine/ Teaching Hospital in Charming New England
Eastern Connecticut Family Medicine Residency Program sponsored by Manchester Memorial Hospital, a hospital of Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN), is recruiting a full-time physician leader to serve as program director for its thriving Accredited Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), a well-respected family medicine residency program in Manchester, Connecticut. As the only family medicine residency, university-affiliated program east of the river, the program provides an outstanding community-focused clinical site for residents to train. You will enjoy working with a stellar and collaborative faculty family medicine physician team. The program director should possess a passion and strong commitment to guide faculty and in the education of residents in a supportive teaching environment. The program director is responsible for 70% administration of the residency-training program with 30% general clinical physician duties. Daytime business hours with no weekends and minimal call coverage (often no call).
ECHN is an extraordinary community health system comprised of approximately 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. ECHN is comprised of two acute-care hospitals licensed at 451 beds, a skilled/subacute facility, home care agency, a comprehensive cancer center and multiple outpatient services centers. ECHN has the latest in robotic surgical systems, including the new Mako robotic assisted knee/hip replacement system and the Xi da Vinci robot, along with highly regarded programs including the ECHN Center for Weight Loss and the Women’s Center for Wellness.
