Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is seeking a moonlighting (per diem) psychiatrist who will provide inpatient coverage for the behavioral health unit and the emergency department. This position reports directly to the Medical Director of the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and will provide quality patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. ECHN offers a highly competitive salary that is commensurate with experience. Residents and fellows are welcome.
ECHN is an exceptional community healthcare system comprised of approximately 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. ECHN features two acute-care hospitals, a skilled/subacute facility, homecare agency, a comprehensive cancer center and multiple outpatient services centers. It has a prominent family medicine residency program, the latest in robotic surgical systems, including the new Mako robotic assisted knee/hip replacement system and the Xi daVinci robot, plus the Center for Weight Loss and the Women’s Center for Wellness.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
l Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
l Residency trained in psychiatry
l Board certified (or soon eligible)
l Connecticut licensed (or soon eligible)
l Federal DEA/Connecticut controlled substance licensed (or eligible)
